1. Nothing Can Snatch Us Out of His Hand
John 10:27–29
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.”
Jesus does not offer temporary life, conditional life, or probationary life—He gives eternal life, life without end. He explicitly declares that His sheep “shall never perish,” a promise that leaves no room for exception. This assurance is grounded not in human effort, but in His own power and in the power of the Father. If no one can pluck a believer from Christ’s hand, and no one can pluck them from the Father’s hand, then the security of the believer rests entirely on divine omnipotence, not on human faithfulness.
2. Nothing Can Separate Us from His Love
Romans 8:38–39
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Paul, a proponent of eternal security, leaves no stone unturned. There exists no circumstance or creature capable, no power or principality possessing the ability, no force or future event, that can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. Are you, like Paul, persuaded of this truth?
3. Nothing Can Sever Us from His Seal
Ephesians 1:13-14
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise. Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
Ephesians 4:30
“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”
Notice carefully what the text says.
The sealing of the Spirit is unto the day of redemption.
Not until the next time you sin.
Not until the next failure, fall, or faltering in your walk of faith.
Not until you “fall away.”
But until the day of redemption.
The seal is God’s work, not man’s, and it remains in place until redemption is complete.
The God who cannot lie has made these promises to all who place their faith in Him. The Word of God speaks plainly, unequivocally, and unambiguously: the child of God is eternally secure. In pride, men may resist, reject, or redefine this truth—but the truth remains unchanged.
May we fearlessly declare it and faithfully defend it in these final days.
